It's almost a year since I received my first order of floral fine bone china mugs, and I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of two new additions to my garden of floral mugs. Here's an exclusive sneak peek of these pretty new mugs! Read on to see how you can get a pre-order discount...
The first of these is a Lavender mug. Inspired by my childhood, this mug reminds me of playing in the front garden at my childhood home, a pretty mill house in Kent, watching the bees as they buzzed around this very English garden flower. This mug evokes the calm of sunny summer days, and you can almost hear the buzz of the bees and smell the delicious scent of Lavender. Lavender is renowned for it's calming properties, and this mug is designed in calming tones of purple, blue and green.
The mugs are coming to life as I write, in a British pottery in Stoke on Trent - the home of fine bone china. Many pairs of hands are working hard to create these unique and original mugs. I can't wait to see them when they arrive!
The other mug which will soon be added to the collection is my Forget Me Not mug. All of my floral mugs have a poignant side to them, as they are inspired by a place that's very precious to me - my childhood home in Kent. This particular mug design, however, will help me support a cause which is close to my heart - the Alzheimer's Society. Both my parents had dementia and Alzheimer's, and have sadly passed away. This was the reason for us having to sell our family home to pay for my mother's care. The Forget Me Not is the flower of the Alzheimer's Society, and in agreement with them I will be donating 10% of the profits from these pretty mugs to this special charity.
